Keelay And Zaire – Alright With Me f. Dminor & Phonte + Tech N9ne – Sickology 101 f. Crooked I & Chino XL

Keelay And Zaire – Alright With Me f. Dminor & Phonte

Keelay and Zaire are hip hop producers from San Fransico, California. They have always pretty solid beats, looks like Dminor is on the hook with a guest verse from Little Brother MC Phonte. Dope shit – off K and Z’s new album Ridin’ High.

Tech N9ne – Sickology 101 f. Crooked I & Chino XL

I never listened to TEch N9ne until the last few months. He definitely has some bangers, but he has an overwhelming amount of material. This track is pretty dope though – classic N9ne sound but a guest verse from Crooked I and Chino XL are nice bonuses.

U-N-I & Ro Blvd Present: A Love Supreme (Mixtape)

U-N-I & Ro Blvd Present: A Love Supreme (Mixtape) ||| zSHARE LINK

U-N-I is a dope hip hop duo out of Inglewood, CA. Ever since I heard track “Beautiful Day” I’ve been following their stuff. Well this actually there new album – thats right for free on the internet. Excellent marketing strategy I’d say – embrace the internet I’m telling you. Production from Ro BLVD, who I’m not as familiar with. Dope shit – I recommend this for sure.

Check out their previous mixtape that dropped via Mick Boogie. Also dope.

Sharam f. Kid Cudi – She Came Along + Asher Roth – Family Man

Sharam f. Kid Cudi – She Came Along (New Link)

Kid Cudi tags along with (Grammy Award winning) Sharam who is one half of the Washington, DC house group by the name of Deep Dish. This sounds pretty dope – Cudi sounds good over this type of beat for sure. Sharam’s solo album Get Wild is out now – you can check it out on iTunes. I could see myself bumpin this quite a bit.

spotted at DatNewCudi.

Asher Roth – Family Man

According to XclusiveZone

“I’ve been holding onto this track for about a year now. But I just got the word to let this one go. This is the track that Scooter Braun heard at 2AM on Asher’s MySpace about 2 years ago that made him sign Asher to SchoolBoy Records. Asleep in the Bread Aisle in stores April 20!”

Asleep In The Bread Aisle drops 4/20.

Brother Ali Interview + Sounset 2009 Commercial

Mr. Peter Parker spreads the word on Soundset ‘09. I will definitely be attending this.

Blu & Exile "Dancing In The Rain" (Live)

If your already a fan of Blu & Exile this needs no explanation. If you don’t know who Blu & Exile are….go buy this album right now. Or check out Blu’s Myspace and then Exile’s. Exile on the production, Blu on the rhymes. Hit me up if you need some help finding the album. Performed at SXSW this last weekend.

Props to GregTheDude for filming that video – pretty dope video. Dope editing and production I love the tall video concept. He has some more dope videos over at his Vimeo Page.

N.E.R.D. feat. Santigold – Soldier (Live On MTV Spring Break) + Fall Out Boy feat. Joe Budden, 88-Keys, Murs – America’s Suitehearts (Remix)

Alright doin a little late night blog sesh, after an amazing week in Minnesota (I’ll miss it) it’s back to Chicago tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll twitter to death from the airport. I just hope security doesn’t hassle me for trying to bring my mixer as a carry on. Gotta love travel days….right?

Enough about me, N*E*R*D perform a new track titled “Soldier” which featuers Santigold on the hook and an apparent Littlest Wayne verse. No version of the track has leaked yet but the band apaprently has been playing this on various TV shows this last week. Actually you can peep them playing it on Jimmy Fallon last night (CLICK HERE), you can hear the Wayne verse in the background. Sounds pretty good – but to be honest I love anything N*E*R*D puts out.

Fall Out Boy feat. Joe Budden, 88-Keys, Murs – America’s Suitehearts (Remix)

Now this is pretty damn random but I gotta say some how it works. Apparently Patrick Stump the lead singer of Fall Out Boy is the man that brought all these guys together. He recruits Slaughterhouse member Joe Budden, 88-Key’s who just released a Kanye co-produced album late last year and Murs the other half of Felt and Living Legneds member who also dropped an album late last year. I was hesitant to even listen to this at first but I guess it works…..some how. Not like I would jam this everyday or anything though.

El Guante Pioneer Press Article + Concert Annoucements

(Click for Larger Image)

Big Quarters is a Minneapolis hip hop group making some noise. Their new album From The Home of Brown Babies & White Mothers will drop May 5th. Definitely looking forward to hearing this. I wish I could get to this show…I might be able to because I’m coming home for Soundset and this is the night before! Kill The Vultures performing too – those guys kill it.

Doomtree Party is coming up as well – it’s a celebration of a new release from Doomtree member Sims, it is titled False Hopes 14. Also Mike over at Midwest Broadcast mentioned that Otter Darling seems to be some sort of side project from fellow Doomtree members Cecil Otter and my biggest crush Dessa. The show will also feature Chicago MC F. Stokes who is releasing an album entirley produced by Doomtree produced Lazerbeak. Very excited about that project – shoud be dope. It’s to bad this is 21+….not that I could make it back from Chi-town anyway.

Minnesota MC El Guante was recentley featured in the St. Paul Pioneer Press – check out the article here and they also did a little video profile about him above.

Young Jeezy & Ludacris – Go Girl (Tags) + Jay-Z – Maybe (Produced by Sean C & LV)

Young Jeezy & Ludacris – Go Girl (Tags)

Well this is a nice surprise – Jeezy and Luda come together to release a track that will be featured on a new Trapaholics mixtape. Sounds legit – I mean they are two of the best rappers in the game right now. All tagged up and kinda short.

+++

Jay-Z – Maybe ft. Puff Daddy (Produced by Sean C & LV)

Some new old Jay-Z. Explanation behind the track is below…

I reached out and Jay hit me back with some clarity. “Maybe” was a demo of a song he wrote for Puff. It was never his record. Or ever intended to be on American Gangster, the studio sessions from which it was recorded.

YN at RapRadar.com

And for archival purposes I’ll just drop these two.

Lil Wayne – Various Tracks from Various Projects

Looks like someone in the Lil Wayne camp went crazy and leaked a handful of tracks. The first track is a product of his collaboration with T-Pain, as you probably know they go by the name T-Wayne. They have been performing this track live for awhile now.

I don’t know whats up with the second track but it sounds like Wayne recorded it underwater – not sure if this is just a low quality version or what, sample is dope though. But I guess it will be on Wanye’s upcoming mixtape. (Maybe?) The third track is the street single for Wayne’s rock album that is supposed to drop this summer titled Rebirth. I’m really glad he is rapping on this track on not singing, kinda dig it.

The fourth track is a collaboration track with Juelz Santana, it isn’t new but I don’t think I posted it the first time around. It will be on an upcoming Juelz and Wayne mixtape called My Face Can’t Be Felt. Whatever that means….

And just some extras that you might want to take a gander at. Both sound like they could be huge hits. The Maybach track sounds pretty fresh, it will be featured on Rick Ross’s new album Deeper Than Rap but as you can see a version has leaked with out the Rick Ross verse and it sounds kinda unfinnished.

Also Wayne joined Keri Hilson on Jimmy Kimmel to perform their track “Turnin Me On.”

UPDATE: 2 more from that Juelz Wanye tape.

Slim Thug ft. Brisco, Nipsey Hussle, Yo Gotti & E-40 – I Run (Remix) + Paul Wall ft. Webbie – Bizzy Body

Slim Thug ft. Brisco, Nipsey Hussle, Yo Gotti & E-40 – I Run (Remix)

One of my favorite tracks right now just got the west coast treatment. Brisco kinda sucks but the rest of these dudes kill it. FOOOOOOORTY. Jim Jonsin on the production -  in case you don’t know who he is check out this collection of his work that has been compiled into a nice little  mixtape. You might be surprised all the songs this dude has had a hand in…. Lil Wayne – “Lollipop”,  T.I. – “Whatever You Like”, Trick Daddy – “Let’s Go”….I put the full list of songs that come with this mixtape in the comments of this blo post.

Bizzy Body featuring Webbie is the lead single off Paul Wall’s new album Fast Life, due out May 12th. Kinda like it too. I don’t really get why Paul Wall has so many haters, I mean look at the guy what were you expecting. His collaboration album with Chamillionaire back in 2002 was dope.

Mos Def talks the genius behind Doom

I love videos like this – a little peak into what Mos Def does in the studio. Here is on break while recording some material and he starts talking the genius behind  masked rapper/producer Doom (aka MF DOOM, King Geedorah, Viktor Vaughn, Madvillian) Now Doom just had an album trop on Tuesday – I got and I’m loving it but I’m always a big fan. If your not sold yet just check out Mos Def above as he disects the lyrics behind the man, the myth, the legend of Doom. If your looking for a reccomendation I suggest you start of with his classic release Madvillainy, MM..Food, his new album Born Like This and also his collaboration project with producer and one half of Gnarls Barkley DJ Dangermouse – the project is called Dangerdoom in which they released the album The Mouse and The Mask. Thats just to name a few…

Doom’s Born Like This is in stores now. Plus a Slug guest verse!

Mos Def’s new album The Ecstatic drops June 9th.

Go cop it!

N.A.S.A. – Gifted (feat. Kanye West, Santogold & Lykke Li) (Video)

Damn stuff is dropping left and right – make sure you keep up folks!

Pretty self – explanatory. Video for the single “Gifted ft. Kanye West, Santogold & Lykke Li.” Still loving this N.A.S.A. project – some songs are better than others but the album is still worth a listen. This video is pretty legit though.

N.A.S.A.’s album The Spirit of Apollo is in stores now.

DJ Class – Im The Shit (Remix) (Feat. Kanye West)

Speaking of Kanye…he just just dropped some fresh verses for a remix of DJ Class’s moderate hit “I’m The Shit.” I think this is the 2nd or 3rd version of this song I’ve heard and this is my favorite so far. Nice to hear Kanye spitting instead of singing.

“And it’s still top 10 ’bout 15 weeks later/ So that’s a middle finger ‘fore you 808 haters.”

He has a point.

Lil Jon Feat. Swizz Beatz & Snoop Dogg – I Do + Black Milk – 2MC (Feat. Big Pooh) + Nipsey Hu$$le – Hu$$le In The House (rmx) f. Maino & Jay Rock

Lil Jon Feat. Swizz Beatz & Snoop Dogg – I Do

Somebody pass the crunk jucie – Lil Jon is back. He has had an album called Crunk Rock in the works for awhile now. This is the 3rd – first single that I’ve been able to keep track of. “Act A Fool” was my shit when it dropped, I thought that was the first single – I love that track to death. Anyway it’s pretty obvious that Swizz pulled through on the production and the delivery on Snoops verse is classic. I can see this one making it’s rounds on the radio, clubs and a house party near you.

THROW YA MUTHAFUCKKIN HANDS UP!

+++

Black Milk – 2MC (Feat. Big Pooh)

I know I know a Black Milk track and Lil Jon track in the same post is a little uncalled for but what the hell, I’m just trying to get the people their music. Black Milk pulls through, not surprised, with some excellent production with a guest verse from Little Brother MC Big Pooh – who also has a solo album on the way.

Who spilled the Milk?

+++

Nipsey Hu$$le – Hu$$le In The House (rmx) f. Maino & Jay Rock

I’m gonna slip this in here too….this is just to West Coast to not post (beat is knockin.) I posted the original version but this remix is just to hot. Jay Rock I see you – the new west coast movement is killlin it.

Mavin MC – The Craftmaster EP

Mavin MC – The Craftmaster EP

I’m mad late on this but what the hell better late then never. I’ve already posted the rest of Illumnious 3’s mixtapes. Mavin MC, repping South Minneapols, he kills it just as hard as his fellow group members Freez and Franz Diego. Fresh beats and even fresher rhymes, Mavin MC is definitley a dude you need to keep an eye on. Guest verses from Freez and Toki Wright this is another one you just gotta check out.

Support MPLS.

Check out his group members Freez and Franz Diego:

Also Franz has a dope new interview up over at TheBrownGirlFiles.

Rhymesayers Crew out at SXSW

A handful of the Rhymesayers family do some nice little interviews for Myspace Music while down supportin the Rhymesayers show at SXSW – a music festival that happened over the last week in Austin, Texas. P.O.S., Brother Ali, Jake-One, Freeway and Abstract Rude talk about there current or upcoming projects. Although Brother Ali’s album that drops in the fall is my most anticipated of the year, I gotta say I’m pretty excited for this new Jake-OneFreeway collaboration. The album is going to be titled The Stimulus Package and will feature Jake-One production and RocaFella Records signee and Jay-Z protege Freeway on the mic. Gotta say I’m pretty proud to have Freeway repping the Rhymesayers crew.

If you haven’t checked out Jake-One’s newest album White Van Music – your missin out as it was one of the better releases of last year.

Also keep an eye out for Abstract Rude’s album Rejuvenation which drops May 5th via Rhymesayers. I posted the first single als called “Rejuvenation” last week – check it out here.

Check out some photos of the gang down at SXSW over at Skye Rossi’s (Rhymesayers dude) Flickr account.

Lil Wayne – Hot Revolver ft. Dre (prod. Cool & Dre) + Yung LA – Futuristic Love (Elroy) (Feat. Ricco Barrino)

Lil Wayne – Hot Revolver ft. Dre (prod. Cool & Dre)

Well a version of this has been circulating around the internet for some time now but I guess rumors that it was Kevin Rudolf on the hook are now false but it’s actually Dre of production duo Cool & Dre who produced the track. Honestly I could care less about this track – I’m getting sick of all this Wayne rock business. Problem is this and Prom Queen are selling like hot cakes, so why would Wayne feel the need to stop making this garbage. It’s official I want the old Wayne back.

Enjoying loving it or enjoy hating it – I kinda hate it. Although, this track is way better than “Prom Queen.” Waynes rock pop album Rebirth is set to drop June 9th. The anticipation is killing me……

+++

Yung LA – Futuristic Love (Elroy) (Feat. Ricco Barrino)

I really was into Yung La’s first single “Aint I” (beat bumps) when it first dropped and I still bump it to this day – so in support of that I’m gonna post up his second single, this is pretty poppy. Its aight – I kinda just like supportin Grand Hustle and P$C - someones gotta make money while T.I. is locked up. T.I. goes in tomorrow for a year and a day.

Slaughterhouse – Move On (Video) + Lil Wanye – Got Money (Live MTV Springreak)

SLAUUUGTAHOUSE. I think this might be my favorite Slaughterhouse track so far – Crooked, Royce and Joell all kill it, Joe is aight he just never impresses me but I still dig him, I guess. I think this is originally just a Joell Ortiz track but the boys all hopped on this one. Video is nothing special but it’s dope enough – mainly posting this one for the track- 8 minutes of lyrical goodness. BEAT is knockin – produced by the Kickdrums.

+++

Posted a view of those MTV spring break videos a day or so ago – I guess I missed this one. Lil Wayne performs “Got Money.” I love the Carter 3 and most of the tracks on it – this one is always bangin. Wayne really needs to drop this rock shit though – I thought this was poppy enough.

Cause bitch I’m the bomb like…
TICK TICK
BIOTCH!!!

Naledge: "I’m In Chicago Bitch (Ink Remix)"

Naledge – “I’m In Chicago Bitch (Ink Remix)”

Producer Ink who reps Chicago remixes fellow Chicagoan Naledge of Kidz In The Hall fame. The track he chose is a remix of a remix – The original track is called “I’m In Miami Bitch” by LMFAO, but Naledge switched it up added some verses for a nice Chi-town remix. Any way Ink does some serious work to this track and it definitley bumps.

I’ve also noticed he has some newer tracks on his MySpace (really likin the track “Hands Up Please.” Some excellent remixes over there so check them out if your into that kinda stuff. I mean mixing 50 Cen’ts “In Da Club” – Steppenwolf’s “Magic Carpet Ride” – Def Leppard “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” That’s just one of a handful of tracks I have just discovered he has put up.

Myspace.com/listenink

Plus the dude has a mixtape I dropped a month back. Pick it up below.

Ink: The Mixtape (Free Download)

I still bump the “Tipsy Remix” every weekend.

shouts to MidwestBroadcast.

The Grouch – Hot Air Ballons (Video) + Pharrell Goofin at McDonalds

Now I’m a huge Netptunes fan, a huge N*E*R*D fan and a huge Pharrell fan. I think most of his interviews are pretty funny and genrally find him to be a pretty intersting guy. I’ve always read and heard he is one of the nicer guys in the industry. This has me sold – dude is hilarious. All he wanted was a Big Mac in the morning – I now this feeling exactly. Am I the only one who hates fast food breakfast?

Q-Tip – We Fight, We Love (rmx) ft. Kanye West & Consequence + Redman & Method Man – City Lights ft. UGK

Q-Tip – We Fight, We Love (rmx) ft. Kanye West & Consequence

Q-Tip just dropped a nice CDQ version remix that he put up on his MySpace a few days back. It features quite a line up – Kanye West and his homie Consequence (who has an album on the way), who are both some solid MCs grace this remix. The original version of this track appeared on The Renaissance which is in stores right now. Gotta say a lot of people bump this album more than me but I still enjoy it.

Redman & Method Man – City Lights ft. UGK

Link got killed – I’ll up another if I can find one.

I shouldn’t even have to convince you to download this track. I can never pick favorites in Wu-Tang but hell I’ll jam any track from any of these dudes but Redman & Method Man are some of my faves. Plus UGK is guest featured – yup. Download this right now, beat is kinda hot too.

P.O.S. – Why Go (Pearl Jam Cover) + Spin Magazine "Optimist" Live Performance & Interview

I don’t know what it is but P.O.S. has to be one of the coolest guys on this planet. MTV asked a few artists to cover some Pearl Jam songs in honor of their album Ten getting a reissue in a week or two. Well MTV gave themselves some credibility for once and got P.O.S. to perform a cover of the track “Why Go.” Now he straight up murders this cover all while doing some excellent drum machine work. I think I’ve watched this video 5 times in a row now.

Also peep some footage of P.O.S. at SXSW performing “Optimist” which is off his latest album Never Better, which if you still havent copped yet you should be completely embarrased. He was actually Spin Magazine’s Artist to Watch I believe – so there is a nice interview that goes along with it. (John Norris? How long has this dude been around?)

Shouts to Plain Ole Bill on the back up plastic cups.

Interview Below:

Pacific Division – Shut Up (prod. Swiff D)

Pacific Division – Shut Up (prod. Swiff D)

Gotta be honest – I have been sleeping on Pac Div hardcore the last few months. I’ve definitley checked out their music as its dropped but I have yet to post a track from these west coasters, at least I think. Actually I may have posted their track “Fat Boys” waaay back. Well now is a good time because their brand spankin new EP just dropped on iTunes today for less than $3. This is easily the banger of the EP (though the other two tracks are legit) – the beat is straight up knockin. Don’t sleep.

Oh whoops I dropped another from the EP below…that means you only need to buy one more.

Pacific Division – Mayor

+++

Big Kuntry Feat. Young Dro & T.I. – I Do

Big Kuntry just dropped his album My Turn To Eat last year but he is already at it again – this time he lets loose a potentially powerful single with his Grand Hustle boss T.I. and fellow signee Young Dro on board for some guest verses. I could see this one maybe gettin some radio play – that is if anyone takes notice, which they should.

GRAND HUSTLE HOMIE

Kid Quo – eQUOnomy EP

Kid Quo – eQUOnomy EP

As soon as I stumbled upon Kid Quo (Qualitative Urban Operative) I knew he had it. I first saw the promo video for his new ep called eQuonomy. The video is below – Kid Quo has the flow, lyric ability and confidence to get anyones attention. Kid Quo reps D.C. Maryland but is currently making noise in the Madison area as he attends college at University of Wisconsin. This six song EP I dropped above has some serious gems on it – gotta say I love the track “Rapper Guy” – the beats are straight too as the production comes from DJ Chooky and Klassik.

I hope as a reader of this blog you’ve come to trust my opinion on this one – Kid Quo has got it and more is coming in future as this EP is just a preview to the mixtape he is dropping this summer also called eQUOnomy The Album. So make sure you check this one out – support the movement.

http://myspace.com/kidquo

As I mentioned above – check out this promo video for his EP – performs a nice track called “Stand Strong.” Straight up killn it.

Del The Funky Homosapien – Get It Right Now

Del The Funky Homosapien – Get It Right Now

Well this is a pleasant surprise – a new one from Del’s new album Funkman which drops April 7th. I have always been a huge Del fan – “Mistadobalina” is my jam for life. Deltron 3030 has gotta be one of my favorite albums – infact I love most of Del’s work – My Brother George Is Here….Both Sides of the Brain - plus he is a member of Hieroglyphics one of my favorite west coast hip hop groups. Plus he has one of the best flows in hip hop – I think at least. Not to mention he has one of the best stage names ever.

I guess the album might be free – at least according to this poster above. Free – how great is that?

I know quite a few people love Del – so this one is for you guys.
