Em, Dr. Dre, 50 Video Still Photo Surfaces

So as you’ve seen in some previous reports, Em shot a video in Vegas with his buddies 50 Cent and Dr. Dre over the weekend and no it’s not for “Crack A Bottle.”
Eminem “We Made You”. First single off
Relapse. Video due early April. Album 5/19.

Produced by Dr. Dre.

50 only appears in video

Props to CityPassion.

This can only mean good things – I hope. Thank god that 50 only appears in the video/song, I can’t take anymore shitty verses.

Minnesota Hip Hop: The Tribe and Big Cats!: Supply and Demand EP

The Tribe and Big Cats!: Supply and Demand EP

MCs Truth Be Told and DJ Pete make up The Tribe a new hip hop group repping Menominie, Wiconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Well the guys combine efforts with Big Cats a pretty dope producer out of MPLS (no seriously production is ill)) as he brings the prodution to this free EP called Supply and Demand.

Minnesota people – were making some serious noise right now!

Once again Midwest Broadcast holdin it down for the hometown.

Below check out The Tribe doin a funny little promo video for the EP.

Young Chris, Wale, Bun B, and Señor Kaos – “Searching For An Outlet”

Young Chris, Wale, Bun B, and Señor Kaos – “Searching For An Outlet”

Wow what a crew – the story behind this track is that it will be featured on Young Chris anticipated new album Now or Never which drops later this year. Anyway Young Chris put up a video explaining that the person who sends in the best verse over the instrumental would have an oppertunity to be on his new album and be on the same track as himself, Wale and the legend Bun B. Well I guess Senor Kaos won it out – congrats homie.

+++

D/Will: “Break Time”

A new track from Kansas City MC/producer D/Will – sounds promising but I guess it’s not 100% that this will be on his upcoming album The Battery Effect.

Here is another track that is confirmed for the new album.

D/Will – Fresh Off The Charger

Spotted over at MB.

Keri Hilson Feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo – “Knock You Down” (Video) + Asher Roth Interview

See this is what I’m talking about – Kanye dropping dope verses. Plus this track is catchy as hell am I right? Nice little Ne-Yo verse as well. Off Keri Hilsons new album In A Perfect World...which drops today for you folks who are interested.

Produced by Danja - I see you.

+++

I know I know your probably tired of Asher Roth interview but maybe your not – plus this one is very well done. Talks about guest verses on his album and about Kid Cudi and B.O.B. saying they are gonna retire. Which they both actualyl didn’t but still.

Asleep In The Bread Aisle drops on 4/20. ha

MTV Spring Break: Lil Wayne & Asher Roth.

Lil Wayne and Young Money crew perform their new single “Every Girl” which is going to be on the new and up coming Young Money album. I loooooove this track.

+++

Asher Roth performs the perfect anthem for SB09!!!!!!! with his track “I Love College.”

If you want more check out Jim Jones performin Ballin and Kid Cudi performin Day N Nite.

Kid Cudi – Day N Night (Arsenal Live Rock Mix) + Ludacris & Shawnna – Everybody Wit Me Drunk As Fuck

Kid Cudi – Day N Night (Arsenal Live Rock Mix)

There is already way to many remixes of this track but there are handful that are quite good. This one just dropped and I think it sounds pretty cool – it’s a live rock version from a DJ by the name of Aresnal. Just take a listen.

By the way in case you haven’t heard – Cudi got his head on straight and is no longer retiring.

+++

Ludacris & Shawnna – Everybody Wit Me Drunk As Fuck

I’m not toally sure who Shawnna is but I know her and Luda are making a collab album together that is supposed to drop this summer called Battle of The Sexes. Kinda cheesy but whatever if it means more verses from Luda I’m all for it. I could see this one maybe gettin big. Check out the video for it right here.

Super Mash Bros.- Kisses & Thugs + Old Album download

Super Mash Bros.- Kisses & Thugs

I know I know another Girl Talk rip off right? Well yeah techincally, but honestly I’m not tired of mash ups yet and I doubt you are either. Super Mash Bros. who claim the title of “Girl Talks hot cousin.” These two kids from LA (fuck the Lakers) have got something here and I think it’s worth your time checking out. I mean anyone that uses Crazytown’s “Butterfly” and uses it in a mash up is fine by me. So essentially this is the first single off their new sophmore album All About The Scrilions.

That’s right I said second album – apparetnly these dudes released an album over the summer – thanks to Stevie for given me the heads up about there old album Fuck Bitches. Get Euros. which is actually available for free. It’s basically the sounds of every high school dance (Soulja Boy over Sandstorm is legit) I went to mashed up into one little album. So take a gander at their old album – it’s a nice little trip down memory lane or basically the last 2 years. A download for their old album is below.

If you don’t get this your an idiot.

Super Mash Bros. – Fuck Bitches. Get Euros. (Free Album Download)

Pwelbs Update + Crooked I – If You Ever Hear Me (prod. King Tech)

Alright so I apologize for my absense the last few days, I’m back in Minneapolis and it sure is good to be home for a minute. I’m on spring break so…well I took a little break over the weekend. Fortunatley for me the music industry was a little busy with everyone down in Austin, Texas for SXSW. Not much really came out over the weekend but I will be sure to fill you in with whatever dropped – which really wasn’t much anyway.

Anyway I’ve got a lot on the way in the next few weeks which I’m pretty excited about. I just picked up Traktor for those of you who care. I also am in the works on dropping my very first mixtape (no I won’t be rapping, I’ll fill you in later), way more stuff going on with my radio show etc. So stay tuned a lots happening!

+++

Crooked I – If You Ever Hear Me (prod. King Tech)

So I’ll start off with another Crooked I track which hass leaked off. Apparently this has nothing to do with his new album B.O.S.S. but is a completley different side project with more information coming soon. So until then enjoy!

Mr. Peter Parker – Get Loud .v1 Mixtape

Gotta support my man Mr. Peter Parker over at B96. Holdin it down for the Twin Cities and hip hop – lots of Minnesota artists featured on here…P.O.S., Muja Messiah, St. Paul Slim – so you gotta download this one.

Get Loud! v.1 (Mixtape)

Wale feat. Lady Gaga – “Chillin”

Wale feat. Lady Gaga – “Chillin”

Washington DC rapper Wale drops the track that I think may take him to the next level. This time he hops on the ever so famous sample and arena chant…na na na na na hey hey gooodbye..you know that one? Well it’s “Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye” by the 60’s group Steam. Well this time he grabs pop princess Lady GaGa for the hook. Gotta say I wasn’t a huge Wale guy but I think I can jam this track for sure. Great combo for these two.

GLC Feat. Kanye West & T-Pain – “Flight School” + Pimp C – Let’s Talk Money f. Lil Wayne & T-Pain

GLC Feat. Kanye West & T-Pain – “Flight School”

A version of this track dropped dropped a few weeks minus the GLC verses and a lot of people were lovin it as just Pain and West. This time around the beat gets switched up a bit – I’m assuming the first version was an unmixed version. GLC is signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music. Keep an eye out of GLC’s new album Love, Life & Loyalty.

A video for this should drop Monday.

Props to FakeShoreDrive

Pimp C – Let’s Talk Money f. Lil Wayne & T-Pain

UPDATE: CD QUALITY IS UP NOW – THIS ONE IS GROWING ON ME FOR SURE

Well it’s more of a T-Pain sample, kinda crazy how hip hop has gotten to that point but oh well I guess. Normally that would piss me off but it works pretty well on this track. Pimp C, Rest In Peace, gets a new track featuring Lil Wayne. Looks like Wayne takes aim at 50 Cent on this one. Not that I mind.

that nigga Pimp called me before he left this bitch
told me keep doin’ ya thing and don’t tell 50 shit!

Kevin Rudolf – Welcome To The World (Feat. KiD CuDi) + MSTRKRFT – Bounce Live on Jimmy Kimmel

Kevin Rudolf – Welcome To The World (Feat. KiD CuDi)

Well Kevin Rudolf is back, I was really jazzed about Let It Rock back when it dropped, and there is no doubt that when that track drops at a party everyone freaks. But from what I’ve seen of Kevin Rudolf live he sucks and couldnt be a worse performer. Anyone see him perform at the All Star Game a few weeks back? So whack.

Anyway it looks like he may have another hit on his hands this time with ever so relevant Kid Cudi. This short number is sorta catchy but I don’t think it has the legs that “Let It Rock” had. Worth checking out never the less – at least before you hear it on the radio every 2 seconds.

He kinda just looks like a douche though…

+++

MSTRKRFT performs their hit “Bounce”  which features rapper N.O.R.E. on Jimmy Kimmel. This track is one hell of a party jam – it came out a while back but the track has stayed in the spotlight the last few months especially across the pond. Contact me for an mp3.

Music Videos: Charles Hamilton – Loser + Consequence ft. Kid Cudi – Buggin Out (09 Remix)

I know there are some Charles Hamilton fans that check regularley so this is for you – not a huge fan of this track exactly but whatever. This one is off his mixtape The Pink Lava Lamp which dropped late in 08.

+++

Probably one of my favorite beats of all time got some fresh verses dropped on it. This time it was remixed by Kanye homie and G.O.O.D. music signee Consequence – the track also features recently retired pussy Kid Cudi. Directed by Rik Cordero.

Asher Roth Update

Please excuse my lack of updating – I had to move back into my old house and then make the drive back to Minnesota. Of course yesterday was a very busy day so I’ll be playing catch up today….so bare with me.

So here is a little Asher Roth update – I know some people think this guy is totally whack but come on – what did you expect. This guy is like me being a rap artist. Doesn’t that sound amazing? Anyway after you watch these two interviews I think you will feel that extra bit of connection that you don’t have with just any rapper. Below he talks baseball, beer pong and marijuana…what else..

Also check out the music video below for a new track off his new album Asleep In The Bread Aisle which drops ironically on 4/20.

Mos Def – The Ecstatic (Album Art + Video Promo)

Album art for Mos Def’s new albumThe Ecstatic which drops June 9th. Check out a video promo for the album below. Gotta say I’m always stoked about new music from Mos Def.

Rick Ross feat. Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne & T-Pain – Maybach Music 2 (Audience Recording)

Rick Ross feat. Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne & T-Pain – Maybach Music 2 (Audience Recording)

**Link Fixed**

Apparently someone recorded this BANGER at a Rick Ross listening party for his new album Deeper Than Rap. Damn, this songs like it’s gonna be pretty epic. Kanye sounds good on the verse, T-Pain has a pretty catchy hook, Wayne also drops a nice verse. I was sorta givin up on Ross as I was starting to see him get torn apart by 50. I don’t cover that gossip on this blog but do your research if you wanna get into that funny business. But I’m with Ross, 50 is over the top and annoying. Not to mention everything he has done in the last 2 years has sucked.

So Ross, I hope this album is dope and from the few tracks that have leaked it sounds pretty good. I remember I bumped quite a few tracks off his first album Port Of Miami back in high school.

Also production trio J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League be killing it with production latley. Check out their production credits.

As I said this is a recording – so when I get the full CD quality version, I’ll be sure to drop it.

Classified – They Call This (Hip Hop) f. Royce Da 5′9″ & B.o.B + B.O.B – Ghost In a Machine

Classified – They Call This (Hip Hop) f. Royce Da 5′9″ & B.o.B

I dropped a track from Canadian MC/producer Classified’s upcoming album Self-Explanatory just last week. Here he drops another with my boy Royce and ATLien B.O.B.

PS. not gonna lie I laughed when I first saw this picture….

+++

B.O.B – Ghost In a Machine

Apparently Grand Hustle signee B.O.B wants his stage name changed to Bobby Ray? I donno but he just dropped a new track called “Ghost In A Machine.” Nice little ballad from the Atlanta rapper/singer? I’m a fan.

Lil Wayne Introduces Young Money + Public Enemy & The Roots on Jimmy Fallon

Lil Wayne lets the many members of label Young Money introduce themselves. Mack Maine and Jae Millz are aight. Drake is straight up killin it.

+++

The Roots back up the legendary Public Enemy on Jimmy Fallons new late night show. I you haven’t heard The Roots are now the back up band for the show of for the next 2 years or something. They had some good acts so far – this one Chuck D, Flava Flav and the gang bust out their classic “Bring Tha Noise.”

Rhymefest – Goin’ In f. Queen Latifah + Fabolous – What It Look Like (prod. Alchemist & DJ Khalil)

Rhymefest – Goin’ In f. Queen Latifah

Off his upcoming mixtape The Manual. Haven’t seen the Queen on a track in a bit.

+++

Fabolous – What It Look Like (prod. Alchemist & DJ Khalil)

Not every day you see Alchemist making a beat for Fabolous. Dope track. Supposed intro off his upcoming album Loso’s Way.

Wale – Word Play f. Curren$y & Tre (of UCB) (prod. 9th Wonder) + Crooked I – I’m Still a MC (prod. Komplex)

Wale – Word Play f. Curren$y & Tre (of UCB) (prod. 9th Wonder)

Not sure if I’m the president of his fanclub or anything but I think Wale is decent. I’m way more interested in the 9th Wonder production – he will be doing the entire mixtape that this track is off. Back To The Feature drops April 29th.

I’ll be sure to post it.

+++

Crooked I – I’m Still a MC (prod. Komplex)

Crooked I repping Slaughterhouse and California. This is the first single to leak off his new album which will be avialable for free download. Sounds like Crooked I is for the people.

B.O.S.S. has no official release date yet but I assume it is sometime soon.

Flo Rida – Magic (Video)

Ok – this guy knows how to pick a sample. This time Flo Rida get’s Timbaland protege Danja to produce a pretty dope track. Yes yes the sample is clearly the one hit wonder “Magic” by the band Pilot. I first heard this sample used for a track for Dipset associate J.R. Writer and was produced by Duke Da God. DIPSET!

Slim Thug – Welcome 2 Houston f. Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Pimp C, Bun-B, Lil Keke, Z-Ro, Trae, Rob G, Lil O, Big Pokey, Mike D & Yung Redd

Slim Thug – Welcome 2 Houston f. Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Pimp C, Bun-B, Lil Keke, Z-Ro, Trae, Rob G, Lil O, Big Pokey, Mike D & Yung Redd

Gotta tell you I love writing and I love writing about hip hop, but after this 10 page paper I just wrote, I can barely write another word. So I’m keepin it short today as I play catch up with all the dope music that came out today. Knowing me I’ll get carried away and write a shit ton anyway.

So unless your stupid you can already tell this track is pretty epic. Slim Thugggga gets anyone who is relevant in Texas top hop in his new track Welcome 2 Houston. To be released on Slim’s Boss of All Bosses which drops March 24th. Kind of a fresh beat but clearly this one is all about the healthy serving of guest verses. I mean Cham, Bun B, Pimp C…just look at this list. Also props to these guys for repping there State so hard.

Kid Cudi retires and becomes the worlds biggest pussy in one day!

AFTER THE RELEASE OF MY FIRST LP THIS SUMMER, IAM NOT MAKING ANY MORE SOLO ALBUMS. IAM FALLIN BACK ON BEING A ARTIST. THE DRAMA THAT COMES WITH IT IS MORE OVERWHELMING THAN THE SHIT I WAS DEALING WIT WHEN I WAS PISS POOR BROKE. MY FRIENDS GET MAD AT ME, SAY IVE CHANGED, ONE OF THE ONLY HOMIES I GOT IN THIS GAME, WALE, IS WORRIED ABOUT ME CUZ OF SHIT HE HEARS. LIKE WTF? WHO CAN SAY IM BEIN HOLLYWOOD? IM NOT AROUND ANYONE BUT PLAIN PAT AND EMILE. WHO CAN SAY THAT SHIT? MUTHAFUCKAS TALKIN SHIT HERE AND THERE, SPREADIN RUMORS, MAKIN JOKES, TRYNA JUDGE ME, AND FOR WHAT? DOES MY MUSIC POKE FUN AT OTHERS? DO I TALK SHIT ABOUT PEOPLE N MY MUSIC? I ALREADY WENT TO HIGH SCHOOL ONCE, AND GOT EXPELLED CUZ IT WASNT FOR ME. IMA DROP OUT THIS SHIT BEFORE NIGGAZ TRY AND CRUCIFY ME.

I DONT LOOK AT IT AS QUITTING, FOR I HAVE ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL. I HAVE A SOLID FANBASE WHO TRUELY APPRECIATES ME AND MY MESSAGES THRU SONG, I GOT MULTIPLE BIG RECORDS, I HAVE RECIEVED WORLDWIDE CRITICAL ACCLAIM FROM THE BIGGEST TASTEMAKERS IN THE GAME, 3 FAN MADE BEST OF MIXTAPES WITHOUT EVEN RELEASING MORE THAN ONE MIXTAPE AND NOT EVEN RELEASING A ALBUM, I CAN PAY MY MOMS MORTGAGE AND HELP MY SISTER WITH MY NIECE AND HOLD MY BROTHERS DOWN WITH WUTEVER THEY NEED. THATS WUT I GOT IN THIS GAME FOR, TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THESE GOALS AND I HAVE. NO REGRETS

IM SORRY TO THE FANS, IM SO SORRY YALL. I KNO U GUYS WILL ALL HATE ME, BUT REMEMBER, IM JUS A REGULAR DUDE WHO WAS GIVEN A AMAZING GIFT, AND NOW WITH THAT AMAZING GIFT CAME MORE UNCALLED FOR PROBLEMS THAN THE AVERAGE HUMAN BEING SHOULD HAVE TO DEAL WITH.

I WILL STILL DO THE COLLAB ALBUM WITH CHIP, AND THAT WILL BE MY LAST STUDIO RECORDING.

IAM GOING TO FOCUS ALL MY ATTENTION ON THE HBO SHOW WHICH WE START SHOOTING IN AUGUST AND MY ACTING CAREER IN GENERAL…ILL CONTINUE TO DO SHOWS FOR THE REAL KID CUDI FANS, AND IM PLANNING A BIG CONCERT THIS SUMMER, JUS ME, AND I WILL PERFORM MY ENTIRE MIXTAPE FROM BEGINNING TO END AND NEW SONGS FROM MY ALBUM. ILL KEEP U GUYS UPDATED ON THAT

AGAIN, IAM SORRY, BUT ITS THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP ME FROM GOING COMPLETELY INSANE. IM TOO REAL FOR THIS HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL SHIT. BAK TO THE MOON I GO

I respect/ed Kid Cudi as an up and coming artist but I will never feel bad for someone who gets signed to Kanye West’s label and then has the opportunity to work with some of the best MCs and producers in the game. Grow up pussy – people would kill have an opperunity like you and here you are whining to your fans. The drama? What did you expect you entered yourself into probably the most competitive industry in the world. I understand his frustration – but come on now. If your gonna do this move outta the way and let some one else make good use of the resources you have been blessed with.

Get your damn album out and get back into the studio and suck it up. I know I’m hating hardcore right here, so I just gotta say I love Cudi’s mixtapes and “Day N Nite” is one of the best singles in the last 6 months. I just want my music, is that to much to ask?

What a loser…and LMFAO at working on acting career.

/end rant.

PS: How have hip hop artists not learned that saying your gonna retire immediatley causes every hip hop fan to laugh at you. Jay-Z, Lupe and The Game all said they were gonna retire – all came back.

Slaughterhouse – Wack MCs (prod. Red Spyda)

Slaughterhouse – Wack MCs (prod. Red Spyda)

Damn, I gotta say I’m impressed with these Slaughterhouse tracks. I was hating on this group hardcore then I actually listened to some of the dudes solo work and I shut up. If your behind on your hip hop Slaughterhouse is a supergroup consisting of Royce Da 5’ 9, Crooked I, Joe Budden and Joell Ortiz. Althought I think some MCs in this group are way more talented then the others, I respect this project.

Another dope track from the posse, I gotta say, though I feel like I’ve heard this KRS-One sample used a couple times already in the last few months – it still kills so props to Red Spyda on the production.

I’m still laughin how whack Joe Budden’s album was though…ha. By the way his verse on this track is recycled, I believe.

WIK WIK WAK.
