If your unfortunately still unfamiliar with Big Quarters make sure you search them in the search bar in the upper right or take a gander at their MySpace page.

If you would like to pre-order From The Home of Brown Babies & White Mothers head over to this link and support these guys.

spotted at Midwest Broadcast.

Fabolous – Throw It In The Bag ft. The-Dream + Fabolous – It’s My Time ft. Jeremih (prod. The Runners) + Chip Tha Ripper – Okay ft. GLC & Big Sean

Two nice tracks for any Fabolous fans out there. I like my fair share of Fabolous songs but I don’t follow him as much as some people I’ve seen. Anyway the MC just dropped two tracks (and the supposed official singles) off his upcoming album Loso’s Way. Both tracks are nice if your into this kinda stuff.

+++

Chip Tha Ripper – Okay ft. GLC & Big Sean

It seems I have gathered a few Chip Tha Ripper tracks in my iTunes over the last year and I think this is the first I have seriously taken notice of. I’ve seen it labeled as a Big Sean track and also a Chip track. It was listed on Big Sean’s latest mixtape UKNOWBIGSEAN but the track was left off. It has since surfaced in promotion of Chip Tha Ripper’s upcoming mixtape – The Clevland Show.

Kid Cudi & DJ E-V Presents: Dat Kid From Cleveland (Mixtape)

Kid Cudi & DJ E-V Presents: Dat Kid From Cleveland (Mixtape)

DJ E-V and DatNewCudi.com present a brand new Kid Cudi mixtape titled “Dat Kid From Cleveland”. The mixtape is a collaboration by DatNewCudi.com and DJ E-v of LeakJones.com. It was created to provide everyone with a great collection of Cudi’s latest work and features in anticipation of his debut album Man on the Moon: The Gaurdians (Dream On/G.O.O.D Music). Available on the mixtape is “Daps and Pounds”, an exclusive new Cudi song along with 19 other Kid Cudi hits such as She Came Along, Welcome To the World & Sky Might Fall.

If you follow Cudi closely you might have some of these songs or have heard them already. But all that a side this is indeed a good collection of Cudi material that has dropped over the last month or so. So if your into Cudi and want all his songs at once here is your shot.

Asher Roth – Y.O.U. f. Slick Rick (UK Bonus)

Asher Roth – Y.O.U. ft. Slick Rick (UK Bonus)

So todays the day. Asher’s much anticipated album Asleep In The Bread Aisle is finally in stores. I’ve already listened to the album a handful of times now and I gotta say I’m impressed. The production from his homie Oren Yoel is pretty nice. I like this album cause you jam it all the way through (maybe skip I Love College.) It has some nice guest apperances from Cee-Lo of Gnarls Barkley and Crime Mob, Jazze Pha, Busta Rhymes and Chester French.

As a little bonus for todays album drop make sure you check out this track with the king himself Slick Rick. This one shoulda been on the album – pretty fresh.

Also I gotta give it to Asher for this one – he made it big in a time where people don’t pay for music all through a grass roots movement.

Clipse – Kinda Like A Big Deal (feat. Kanye West) (Produced by DJ Khalil)

Clipse – Kinda Like A Big Deal (feat. Kanye West) (Produced by DJ Khalil) (Dirty)

****NEW LINK UPDATED SHOULD WORK NOW****

Alright. Stop everything your doing, because this track – is kinda like a big deal. The Clipse just unleashed this monster with a who else Kanye West. Everyone goes in on this one – Kanye back at his finest. Considering he is always a better producer than a rapper in my mind – I love me a solid Kanye verse. Pusha T and Malice also do there thing over this nice bouncy beat with a 60s garage band guitar part which perfectley backs up the flows of some of my favorite MCs in the game. DJ Khalil on the production.

The Clipse’s new album Till The Cakset Drops literally drops August 25th and it’s already one of my most anticapted albums of the year.

Don’t sleep on this one folks – not that I doubted you. I’ll have this in my rotation all day.

9th Wonder Makes a Beat For Nas

You know how some beats just are on another level? This is one of those. Damn I need an instrumental mp3 of this.

Check it out as super producer 9th Wonder plays a beat that he sent to Nas in hopes of him spitting on it.

Abstract Rude – Nuff Fire (Video)

I knew this video would be great as soon as I had to confirm my birthday on YouTube before I could watch it. Now that I’m watching it I definitely remember this track from the various times I’ve seen Abstract Rude open up for Rhymesayers acts of the last year or so. I’m looking forward to Ab’s new album dropping a few weeks. Nice addition to the Rhymesayers family.

I’ll leave you with the official video description below:

Ab wanted to get his new video out to all of you before you hit 4/20 so you had somethin’ to celebrate with. Make sure you puff, puff, pass this shit and enjoy!

Abstract Rude’s new abum Rejuvenation drops May 5th on Rhymesayers.

J Dilla – Reality Check ft. Black Thought

J Dilla – Reality Check ft. Black Thought

On June 2nd Nature Sounds will be releasing Jay Stay Paid. J$P is a 25 track collection of unreleased (some have leaked) Dilla beats mixed and arranged by Pete Rock. The project is mostly instrumental, but includes vocals from Black Thought, DOOM, Raekwon, Illa J, Blu, Havoc, M.O.P. and more. This isn’t some haphazardly put together album. Ms. Yancey AKA “Ma Dukes” serves as the executive producer to keep her sons vision in mind.

Gotta say I will definitely check this out. Black Thought (of The Roots) always kills it….no one makes beats like Dilla. But I gotta be honest I wasn’t to familair with him until after his passing. Plus just look at that line-up.

Wiz Khalifa – Flight School (Mixtape)

Wiz Khalifa – Flight School (Mixtape)

I shoulda posted this yesterday when it dropped – bumped it a few times and I’m enjoying it so far. Wiz has changed his style up since I first heard the Pistolvania MC. I loved his first 2 mixtapes – much different than he is now – but thats not a bad thing in this case.

If the name sounds familiar you may have heard his minor hit “Say Yeah” which dropped last year.

Bun B – I Love College (Remix) + Mike Jones – Swag Through The Roof

Bun B – I Love College (Remix)

Everything Bun B touches is cool.

Asher Roth’s Asleep In The Bread Aisle drops 4/20.

St. Paul Slim & Prof: Recession Music (Mixtape Promo)

A new project from St. Paul Slim and Prof (of Prof & Rahzwell) called Recession Music dropping May 12th. Gotta say I’m a big fan of both these Minnesota emcees. I picked up Prof & Rahzwell’s album last year and Prof had a solo effort with his mixtape last year as well.

Promo video below:

Kanye West & Jay-Z Vintage Studio Footage (2001-02)

This is some pretty insane video footage of Kanye and Jay-Z in the studio back in about 01-02. It’s amazing how far these two have come especially Kanye…. I’m trying to figure out the instrumentals in the video. So far I’ve gathered the second beat – which Ye is showing to Jay is a Lupe track called “Birds and The Bees” – which actually just leaked to the internet within the last few months.

Amazing stuff. Piece of hip hop history right here.

propz to FakeShoreDrive.

Big Sean – UKNOWBIGSEAN (Mixtape)

I know I have been anticpating this all day. G.O.O.D. Music signee Big Sean just released his highly anticipated new mixtape UKNOWBIGSEAN. I hadn’t really payed attention to the Detroit MC until I started listening to that Mike Posner (who is featured) mixtape. I had always seen his tracks but never payed attention. Went back to his mixtapes and most of them are pretty good.

Mac Lethal – Drunk Flow 3 (Painkillers & New Glarus) + The Grouch & Eligh – All In f. Gift of Gab & Pigeon John (Video)

Mac Lethal – Drunk Flow 3 (Painkillers & New Glarus)

Mac Lethal outta Kansas City drops a brand new track where in typical Mac Lethal makes fun of anything thats relevant. I think it’s safe to say based off the title and the sound of this Lethal has tipped a few back. Lookout for this guy he should be dropping quite a bit of material this year. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Mac Lethal live quite a few times – impresses me and gets the crowd goin everytime.

+++

Wow this track has a nice vibe too it and quite the roster as well. This is the first video of The Grouch & Eligh’s upcoming album Say G&E which drops later this month. Very catchy so check it out – I can see myself blasting this with the windows down this summer.

Illogic – Diabolical Fun (Remix) ft. Slug, Aesop Rock & Zerostar + Freeway – Finally Free

Illogic – Diabolical Fun (rmx) f. Slug, Aesop Rock & Zerostar

Well damn – I freaked when I first saw this track line up. I immediatley thought of the super group by the name of Orphanage which is any underground backpackers dream come true as it consists of Slug, Aesop Rock, Sage Francis, Eyedea, Blueprint, and Illogic. Check out the loose collectives one and only track called “Hold Mine” which was actually on a Blueprint EP called Vitamin & Minerals EP.

But back to this new track – it’s from Illogic’s new album Diabolical Fun which is out now and I’m currentley bumping.

+++

Freeway – Finally Free

Freeway outta the Rocafella and now Rhymesayers(!) camp just released a new track called “Finally Free.” Damn this beat bangs and Freeway always goes in. I can’t wait for his Jake-One album this summer.

NMC.

Lil Wayne Drought Is Over: Collectors Edition Leaks + Embassy Music Board – My Life (prod. Don Cannon)

A couple of leaks from Wayne’s The Drought Is Over 7 Mixtape. I don’t really know what makes this a collectors edition other than it comes with a DVD. But yeah – these are typical Wayne songs. Cover is hilarious. If you decide you wan’t the whole thing get it below. ya dig.

The Empire & Lil Wayne – The Drought is Over (Collector’s Edition) (Mixtape)

+++

Embassy Music Board – My Life (prod. Don Cannon)

I sorta just listened to this song for no reason – Don Cannon on production and I’ve liked his stuff in the past. But this beat is actually kinda fresh and the group ain’t have bad either. I decided to check out their mixtape – it’s a pretty fun mixtape.

The Embassy International Ties: Foreign Affairs Mixtape

Embassy Music Board Myspace

Check out their Myspace and play the song “LOL” – I literally laughed. Honestley is kinda sick though.

Bobby Creekwater – Chec Chec (prod. Eminem) + Wiz Khalifa – Get Sum

Bobby Creekwater – Chec Chec (prod. Eminem)

Sorry I’m playing catch up so bear with my pathetic writing. But this is a nice track from the Shady Records signee by the name of Bobby Creekwater – I’m not to familiar with Shady Records and all those guys but I think Bobby has been around awhile. I don’t really know what a classic Eminem beat would sound like but I think this sounds pretty decent.

+++

Wiz Khalifa – Get Sum

Wiz Khalifa outta Pittsburg drops another track off his upcoming mixtape Flight School which I no doubt will be posting this Friday when it drops. Wiz has an album on the way sometime this year. I always love the beats Wiz picks.

+++

Chali 2na – Lock Shit Down ft. Talib Kweli

The former Jurrasic 5 frontman drops his first solo album after holding it down as the frontman for one of my favorite groups for over a decade. The album is to be titled Fish Outta Water and will hopefully drop sometime this summer. Talib on the assists with nice guest verse.
