I can’t keep track of what Lil Wayne tracks belong to what. But at least this is auto-tune free.
Drake – Forever ft. Eminem, Kanye West & Lil Wayne (prod. Boi-1da)

Drake – Forever ft. Eminem, Kanye West & Lil Wayne (prod. Boi-1da)
UPDATED: This is the final explicit mastered CD quality version of the track.
So – I’ve been hearing a lot of gossip about this one over the last week. It was supposed to drop Friday via iTunes. I mean just look at this track! As hip-hop explodes right now let clear a few things up – this is NOT the final version. A new hook will be put in place from a female R&B singer who has yet be named. This version is un-mastered a final version will drop as planned on Friday if not earlier. Yes – this is a recycled beat.
The track will be featured in the upcoming LeBron James bio-pic/movie More Than A Game.
Here is some more info from Rich Paul, who works alongside LeBron for his marketing company. Quotes via MTV NEWS:
“It was done, it was just Drake and Kanye, and then they went back and got two more prolific talents and it just made it even crazier, ” Paul told MTV News late Tuesday. “They blessed Drake crazy.”
The song came together when Gee Roberson, an executive at Atlantic Records who also manages West and helps to oversee the careers of Drake and Wayne, visited LeBron during the playoffs in May.
“He came over and played this — it was me, LeBron and Maverick [Carter, James’ manager],” said Paul, who will co-executive produce the project for James’ camp. “And he played the track, it was hot. It went right with the movie, it was like perfect for a moment that you want to be forever. And when he decided to put Wayne, Drake, Kanye and Eminem on it [together], it just makes is better. It’s one of those songs fans will really want to hear forever. It’s that type of feeling.”
“There’s gonna be an unexpected feature on the hook,” he said. “Right now we have three different R&B singers writing the hook to see who comes up with the best one. I’mma be shocked. So I can’t tell you who it’s gonna be.” On the original, Drake performs double duty, rapping and singing the chorus.
Shouts to LilWayneHQ and NEW MUSIC CARTEL. Nahright with the artwork.

One Be Lo – Pigs ft. Mike Posner

One Be Lo – Pigs ft. Mike Posner
With production and a hook from Mike Posner, One Be Lo does it again on this one. His upcoming album B.A.B.Y. (Being A Black Youth) will be dropping sometime in February 2010. The album will feature the likes of Royce Da 5’ 9, Freeway, Zion I, Phonte and Jean Grae. Looks to be a pretty diverse album in the works. One Be Lo is such an underrated MC in my mind. Not only do his solo albums bump but also his work with Binary Star. If you haven’t checked his solo album S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M. out I highly recommend it.
I’m also glad to see another artist pick up not only Mike Posner for a hook but also take advantage of his production skills. This beat is pretty dope in my mind. Brains up!
Update: This track will not be on his new album but is for the masses to enjoy!
spotted at Shake & Meka’s house.

Jay-Z – Venus Vs. Mars (CDQ) (Look ma no tags!)
Jay-Z – Venus Vs. Mars (Prod. By Timbaland) (TAGS)
Another Jay-Z and Timbaland leak. It’s on the tracklist for Blueprint 3 but this is a tagged up version from Shoot 5 Ent’s The Layout mixtape. Man – someone in Timb’s camp needs to get their shit together.
Also Hov is gracing the cover of XXL Mag’s October issue.
Bonus: Jay-Z – Dig A Hole (Original Just Blaze Version)
Shouts to the New Music Cartel on another BP3 leak. Shouts to Nation.
Bone Thugs-N-Harmony – D.O.A. (Remix) + Juvenile – My Money Don’t Fold

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony – D.O.A. (Remix)
Damn! All 5 members of Bone Thugs go in on Jay-Z’s “D.O.A.” They straight up murder this. Look out for Bone Thugs official single “Eazy E” dropping on September 7th.

Juvenile – My Money Don’t Fold
I’ve always loved Juvenile’s flow no matter what track it is. This beat is kind of poppin’ too. Plus he tears Soulja Boy a new one. HA! Isn’t a Hoy Boy reunion rumored?
Listen up Soulja before I bend your antenna/Red dot on the center your head for my dinner/I dont talk about swaaag cause I show it/50,000 worth of cash in the club I’ll blow it
Donnis illRoots.com Interview + DJ Spinna – New York ft. Krym
Video for DJ Spinna’s “New York.” I like different sound beat like this. His album Sonic Smash is in stores now.
Kid CuDi – Peon x That Girl + Kid CuDi Urb Magazine Interview

Kid CuDi – Peon
Kid CuDi – That Girl
Two unreleased tracks from that Kid named CuDi. These are older but nevertheless dope. I like this CuDi more and more everyday. His music is really growing on me. Also below is a really nice in-depth interview with Urb Magazine. He travels around NYC doing photo shoots at the various clothing stores he worked at before he made it big. Who knew working at Abercrombie & Fitch would lead him to meeting the producer of his #1 hit single “Day N Nite.” Not me. Worth the watch for any CuDi fan.
shouts to illRoots for the links.
Add-2 – Superman + Nipsey Hu$$le – Hu$$le’s My Last Name

Boom! Chicago’s Add-2 yet again proves his lyrical ability as he releases another track from his upcoming mixtape that drops August 28th. He completely obliterates this infectious beat track with his delivery.
Production fro IIL Meel. Superman Promo Video by Dakota Harper http://vimeo.com/6103171

Asher Roth ft. Keri Hilson – She Don’t Want A Man (Video) + Nas & Damian Marley DJ Semtex Interview
Video for Asher Roth’s “She Don’t Want A Man” featuring the ever so gorgeous Keri Hilson. Off Asher’s Asleep In The Bread Aisle.

Nas & Damian Marley DJ Semtex Interview
I caught up with Nas and Damian Marley at Rock the Bells in L.A. They talk about their forth-coming ‘Distant Relatives’ project.
*The concept of Distant Relatives.
*How they hooked up.
*Working in the studio.
*K’naan gets the ultimate co-sign.
The Nas footage isn’t the best, but that’s how it goes when you get 10 minutes with one of the hottest rappers in the game in his tour bus, 12 minutes before he hits the stage. There wasn’t enough room on the tour bus for my camera crew.
Sidebar: this was shot before the Blueprint tracklist leaked.-DJ Semtex
Jay-Z – Reminder (Prod. By Timbaland) + Jay-Z – Off That (Ft. Drake) (Prod. By Timbaland)

Jay-Z – Reminder (Prod. By Timbaland)
Jay-Z – Off That (Ft. Drake) (Prod. By Timbaland)
Looks like The Blueprint 3 sprung a leak. These two Timbaland produced tracks are both dope but the Drake track really doesn’t live up the hype in my opinion. “Reminder” on the other than give me hope that Blueprint 3 should be a pretty dope album. I’m not impressed with Timbaland’s production on either of these to be honest. Where the Yeezy tracks at?
Speaking of Drake….
Birdman – Money To Blow (Ft. Drake & Lil’ Wayne)
shouts to illRoots.
Also as a little bonus – here is some footage of producer Rick Rubin talking with Russell Simmons on what it was like to work on the track “99 Problems” with Jay-Z. Dope stuff.
Felt 3 Producer Annoucement + Donnis Interview
Here is an interview and re-cap of the Donnis mixtape release party. If you haven’t downloaded the mixtape yet your missing out. You can pick it up below.
10.Deep x Donnis – Diary of An ATL Brave

10.Deep x Donnis – Diary of An ATL Brave (Mixtape)
ATL’s Donnis releases his highly anticipated mixtape, Diary of An ATL Brave presented by 10.Deep. I’ve already been bumping his track “Gone” non-stop since it leaked a few days ago. Mixed by Mick Boogie and DJ Benzi this tape is sure to impress with guest features from Bun B and Colin Monroe and a load of tracks produced by the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Another of many dope artists that deserve this kind of attention and are on the rise. I’ll be bumpin’ this all weekend.
You can also cop a limited edition T-shirt which comes with a physical copy of the T-shirt. If I had enough money I would of gotten it.

Franz Diego ft. Alissa Paris – Good Feelin + Black Milk – Set Go (prod. Black Milk)

Franz Diego ft. Alissa Paris – Good Feelin
The homie Franz has a new self titled album dropping September 8th. In honor of that make sure you get acquainted with Franz past work such as the Quick and Dirty Mixtape and his FranzDiego.com EP. His smooth single “Good Feelin” can be downloaded above. Definitely one of my favorite Minneapolis MCs who needs much more attention. I can only assume his new album will take him one step higher.

Some video support for Chicago emcee YP’s track “They Know.” Directed by Pug Atomz.

Fellow Chicago rapper Dave Coresh drops a nice freestyle in the park. Brought to you by Ruby Hornet.
David Guetta – Memories ft. KiD CuDi + Drake – Killer ft. Nipsey Hu$$le

David Guetta – Memories ft. KiD CuDi
French producer/DJ David Guetta sure makes some catchy ass music. He is the man behind that headache of a track from the Black Eyed Peas titled “I Got A Feeling.” But he did released another single from his new album with Kelly Rowland titled “When Love Takes Over.”
This time around he catches up with that Kid CuDi for what turns out to be a pretty dope track. I hope this one gets some hype – it would be good for both parties. David Guetta’s new album One Love drops next Tuesday and CuDi’s album drops September 15th.
+++

Drake – Killer ft. Nipsey Hu$$le
Very interesting collaboration, but I like it. This track is pretty dope – it’s a bit of a mystery where this track will finally land but perhaps on Nipsey’s debut album South Central State Of Mind which drops in December.
Drake will be re-releasing his mixtape So Far Gone for retail on September 15th. Hmm…
Spotted at OctobersVeryOwn.
Jay-Z – Run This Town (Ft. Rihanna & Kanye West) (Video) + Jamie Foxx – Digital Girl ft. Kanye West, The-Dream & Drake (Video)
Jay-Z – Run This Town (Ft. Rihanna & Kanye West)
Brand new video for Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” featuring Kanye West and Rihanna on the hook. We will see is this video stays up all night – I’ll put up a better quality video as soon as it drops. Looks like MTV Germany jumped the gun and beat out MTV USA.
The Blueprint 3 drops September 11th.
And below a video and remix for “Digital Girl” which originally featured Yeezy and The Dream but Drake hops on board for the remix. Funny it’s Jamie Foxx’s track but I could give two shits.
Jamie Foxx Feat. Drake, The-Dream & Kanye West – “Digital Girl (Remix)
Jay-Z – The Blueprint 3 (Artwork + Confirmed Tracklist)

Well apparently this rumored tracklist is quite wrong. A lot of newcomers on this one, as well as some veterans of the game. Should be quite interesting. I’ll assume most of the production is still Kanye West? I like where this is going, should be a solid album regardless. Should of kept Nas on that “Empire State of Mind” track though.
Confirmed via Jay-Z.

XV – G.O.O.D ft. Really Doe (prod. J Dilla) + DJ Vadim ft. Pugs Atomz – Saturday (Video)

XV – G.O.O.D ft. Really Doe (prod. J Dilla)
An unreleased cut from the man who is stealing the show right now – Kansas City rapper XV. This gem didn’t make the cut for his recently released mixtape Everybody’s Nobody but who gives a shit – it’s new music! A new track from XV with Chicago rapper and G.O.O.D. music signee Really Doe – and production from who else, the legendary J Dilla.
Word is a track from XV featuring Bun B and GLC is dropping real soon. DAMN!
If you haven’t picked up his mixtape yet – your missing out on one hell of a party album. Serious jams on this one. Not to mention this guy has the makings of being the next big thing.

Dope video – if only every artists put such time into their videos. I can’t tell you how many shitty as videos I come across daily – not to mention the ones that get emailed. This song is dope too – Pugs Atomz ya dig.
Black Milk – In the A.M. (prod. Black Milk) + Trey Lane – Gone ft F.Dux, Overflow, & Marsio

Black Milk – In the A.M. (prod. Black Milk)
The man the myth the legend Black Milk produces a gem and then throttles it himself. One of the most talented dudes in the game right now. How many rappers can spit and produce?
+++
Trey Lane – Gone ft F.Dux, Overflow, & Marsio
Trey was telling me about this track but some how it got lost in my inbox. Thanks to Mike over at MWB for uploading a link. The South Dakota rapper recruits his Flame On Entertainment homies for this one. Look for Trey on the upcoming Pwelbs.com x Airtime Collection Mixtape – wait say what?
Fabolous – Money Goes, Honey Stay (When The Money Goes Remix) (feat. Jay-Z) (Video) + Mickey Factz DJ Semtex Freestyle (Video)
Fabolous drops another dope video from his smooth party jam laced Loso’s Way. Glad they snuck Jay into the video but they should have snuck him in a verse in the original track. I like this one.
+++
Good God. Mickey Factz blacked out on this one. He beasted the shit out of all 3 beats while some how switching up his flow perfectley to match the beat. I’ll leave it to UK radio host DJ Semtex for some parting words.
Mickey Factz passed through my show on 1xtra and blacked out, hard. He kinda kills it, goes in, smacks it, etc. He sharpens his blade across Hip-Hop, Dubstep, and Funky House. Not many MC’s can do this. Seriously, aside from Asher Roth and a few others, very few people can actually freestyle live on air. Pre-written stuff is cool, etc. but you would be surprised at how many people ‘don’t feel well’, or ‘have a cold’, or ‘are tired’ when asked if they want to grab the mic.
Donnis – Gone + Naledge – Cool Relax (Original) ft. Jay Electronica

It’s crazy that artists like Donnis don’t get more attention. A song like this should be on the radio instead of all that bullshit that is constantly rotated. If DJs could pick the music it would be a-whole-nother story. This track will be featured on this ATLien’s mixtape titled Diary Of An Atlanta Brave, which is sponsored by 10.Deep. This is a serious banger – very dope track. Look for the tape to drop this Thursday.

Naledge – Cool Relax (Original) ft. Jay Electronica
Naledge (1/2 of Kidz In The Hall) drops the OG version of his track “Cool Relax” which was recentley featured on his lastest mixtape Chicago Picasso. Plus a guest verse from Jay Electronica? Paaaalease…
Brother Ali – Fresh Air
Brother Ali – Fresh Air (iTunes Store Link)
Brother Ali released a brand new track from his upcoming album Us – this one titled “Fresh Air.” I haven’t seen anyone post up mp3 links yet so I’m going to stick to the iTunes store link and YouTube video above. Definitely a groovin track which further excites me for the release of this album on September 22nd.
For those of you who caught Soundset this past spring – Ali played this track during his set….and it was amazing.
