Boogy & Phlyy B – Phollow Me

Boogy & Phlyy B – Phollow Me

Y’all have no idea what both of these Chicago cats have been cooking up in the studio. We have some excellent projects in the works. Trust me you aren’t ready for this. Some of the nastiest verses I’ve heard in far too long.

Rocket Science and a few other projects coming soon.

Shouts to UMA.

Vic Spencer & Sulaiman – We’re Just Disappointed (Mixtape)

Vic Spencer & Sulaiman – We’re Just Disappointed

I checked this out the other day and I definitely messed with it. I’ll leave it to CNTRBND over at Fake Shore Drive to explain the rest.

After months of hard work and leaked tracks Vic Spencer and Sulaiman have finally released We’re Just Disappointed.  Originally this project started as an EP and expanded to well over 20 songs, now the duo has trimmed the fat and provided you with a concise 13 song project.  Mixed by the multitalented Nick Castle the final product which is We’re Just Disappointed will not leave you feeling like its namesake. Track List and download after the jump, but first some words from Sulaiman…

Blind I For The Kids in association with Brainiac Society present the collaborative effort from Blind I/Treated/Phedz affiliate Sulaiman and Brainiac Society’s Vic Spencer entitled ‘We’re Just Disappointed’.The project is a lyrical embodiment of the frustration stemming from two outliers navigating a realm of scene hoes, wack rappers, janky promoters, anonymous blog commenters, and all-around bitchassness. They’ve seen what the status quo has to offer, and frankly, they’re Just Disappointed.

With stellar production from M. Stacks, Black Spade, Statik Selektah, Constrobuz, NAMELESS, Nez & Rio, Maja 7th, Beat Maker Beat, and features from Naledge of Kidz In The Hall, Simeon of The Primeridian, Alex P. Keaton, D2G, Yung Word Mann, and Gzus Piece, Vic & Sulaiman are able to vividly depict the definition of Disappointment in a manner that everyone can relate to.

13 tracks of dope shit, tailor made to make a change by actually BEING the change.

The Goodie Bag Blog Interview with Surf Club (Video)

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in D:\Domains\haochen.me\wwwroot\tumblr\index.php on line 109

I caught Surf Club’s set at Leaders of the New Cool: Chicago last week and they killed it. The Goodie Bag Blog caught up with them after.

Most notably these guys produced Weezy’s “Drop The World” featuring Eminem.

The Goodie Bag ran into producer / artist Chase N. Cashe and The Surf Club at The Viaduct Theatre in Chicago. They performed and killed the stage.  Chase N. Cashe and Hit Boy have been leading this team and producing superb tracks in the music industry for a minute. The Surf Club production team has smashed out hot tracks for Young Money on “Pass That Dutch” and other top charting artists.  My best way to describe them is two words multi-talented.  They are in full affect and ready to be heard.  Follow them at this link: The Surf Club.

Vic Mensa – Follow Me (Video)

Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in D:\Domains\haochen.me\wwwroot\tumblr\index.php on line 109

This buzzing Chicago emcee drops a few bars for the cameras. If you haven’t checked out his Straight Up EP, please do so now. It’s funny to me when younger rappers outshine everyone else.

Produced by Lex Luger, who has two solid joints on Rick Ross’ Teflon Don.

Fat Joe – Kilo ft. Clipse & Cam’ron

Fat Joe – Kilo ft. Clipse & Cam’ron

Fat Joe is just one of those rappers I don’t really pay attention to…and he never really gives me any reason to…he can thank the Clipse and Cam’ron for nabbing attention with this one.

Off Fat Joe’s, The Darkside.

J. Cole – Premeditated Murder

J. Cole – Premeditated Murder

I’m a few days late on this but I gotta throw up anything from the future of hip-hop. Yeah, I said it.

Produced by J.Cole too.

Sam Adams – Fly Jets Over Boston ft. Curren$y

Sam Adams – Fly Jets Over Boston ft. Curren$y

I still find it rather comical that these two did a handful of tracks together. Trust me guys, girls love Sam Adams whether you like it or not. His Boston’s Boy EP has been sitting on the top of the iTunes charts for months now. They recently updated it with more tracks including the one up top.

T.I. – Got Your Back ft. Keri Hilson

Some visuals for the lead single of Clifford’s upcoming album King Uncaged which recently got pushed back to September 28th.

Rich Boy – To the Floor ft. Drake & Lloyd (prod. Polow Da Don)

The first single off Asher’s upcoming album The Spaghetti Tree.

Jabee – Better ft. King Mez & Carlita Durand

Jabee – Better ft. King Mez & Carlita Durand

You know those hip-hop joints that just put a smile on your face? This one of those. Production is on another level. Hook from Carlita Durand will make your heart stop.

I dare you to stop nodding your head to this one.
