MaLLy & The Sundance Kid – The Renaissance (MP3)
What an amazing weekend it has been fro Twin Cities rapper Mally and producer The Sundance Kid. Up top we have the very first music video from Mally for his track “The Renaissance.” It turned out fantastic! More to come!
Song Produced By: The Sundance Kid
Director/Editor: Victor Rukavina
Director of Photography: Jake Gardner
In other news, Mally shut down Soundset with a killer performance on the Fifth Element stage this past Sunday. Fans flocked to Mally’s booth for t-shirts, stickers and CDs all day long.
Perhaps the biggest news of the day is when Slug of Atmosphere hit the stage in Mally & The Sundance Kid t-shirt designed by The Airtime Collection. Talk about an incredible way to top off an already memorable day! T-shirts sold out for now.
We’re just getting started, so stay tuned. Look for much more from Mally & The Sundance Kid this summer, with an album dropping early this Fall.

Boldy James – Trappers Alley: Pro’s & Con’s (Mixtapes)
Thanks to the good folks at illRoots, I’ve been bumping this mixtape all afternoon. Detroit’s own Boldy James ain’t messing around on his first online release, Trappers Alley: Pro’s. A very refreshing project but is a bit of a doosy at almost 30 tracks. Some stuff could have simply been left off.
Guests include Chuck Inglish, Sir Michael Rocks, Blended Babies, Exile and Tennille.
Full tracklist after the jump.

Scheme & DJ Scend – Two Turntables and a Mic : NO I.D. Series (Video)
This is dope! Shouts to the homie Scheme.
Scheme and DJ Scend follow up their “Two Turntables and a Mic” Series over NO I.D. production.
This is a straight to the point concept. Dope beats, a mic, and two turntables. Scheme and DJ Scend wanted to show respect to the great artists that have inspired them through out the years and wanted to bring to the forefront the DJ and the MC once again. They want to keep this series as raw and straight forward as possible. No gimmicks. Just rhymes and beats.

Chet Faker – No Diggity
I was doing some internet crate digging and stumbled upon Australian musician Chet Faker. What struck me first was his incredible remake of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity.” I love when someone takes a cover and make’s it their own. Little is out there about Chet, other than than a Facebook page and official website. Although, his web presence has picked up a bit since his tracks have hit the blogosphere over the weekend.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for new material but in the meantime head over to Chet’s Soundcloud page.
Shouts to Pigeon & Planes.
Big Sean – What Goes Around
This may be the single Big Sean was looking for. I’ve had this on rotation all weekend. This one will be off Big Sean’s major label debut Finally Famous, coming June 21st.
Production from Chicago’s own No I.D.
Drake – Dreams Money Can Buy

The band also recently launched whysowhite.com. Check it!
Jay Daniels – Long Way Home ft. Royce Da 5’9″ (Prod. By Charlie Hilton)
Jay Daniels – Long Way Home ft. Royce Da 5’9″ (Prod. By Charlie Hilton)
I’m posting this one exclusively because of the production. It kind of reminds me of Oasis which I’m sure is a nightmare for some of you….or not. If anything listen to Royce’s verse.
The anticipated first drop from Charlie Hilton’s upcoming ‘Collector’s Edition’ has finally arrived and it’s star studded. Jay Daniels and Royce da 5’9″ let themselves go on the emotionally charged ‘Long Way Home’.
The track is also present on Jay Daniel’s upcoming project ‘The Drop-in’.
DJ Khaled – I’m On One ft. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil’ Wayne
DJ Khaled – I’m On One ft. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil’ Wayne
We The Best Forever changes the world on June 28th. Not really, but a few joints always turn out to be decent on these Khaled compilation albums. This also reminds me we haven’t really heard much from Drizzy Drake as of late.
Lil Wayne – John ft. Rick Ross (Video)
I just really want Carter IV to drop already. I’m already assuming this track will be one of the more forgettable. I definitely dig it a bit more after this video. Rick Ross does look pretty G in a wheelchair with spinners.
Boldy James – JIMBO (Prod. by Chuck Inglish) + Concrete Connie (Video)
Boldy James – JIMBO (Prod. by Chuck Inglish)
I don’t know much about this dude Boldy James but I’ve definitely been rocking with everything he has put out as of late.
The Detroit emcee’s next project Trapper’s Alley: Pros And Cons drops sometime this week.
