This is by far one of my favorites songs to drop this year. I’m so happy to say it’s the latest single from my good friends – Minneapolis based hip-hop trio The Tribe & Big Cats! The duo recruit BJ The Chicago Kid for an incredible hook and fellow Minnesotan Greg Grease for one hell of a verse.

DJ Shadow – Scale It Back ft. Yukimi Nagano of Little Dragon (Stream)
I’ve played this lovely tune off DJ Shadow’s new album soooo many times over the last few days. Brilliant. Genius. Beautiful. It has given me goosebumps several times the past few rainy days we’ve had here in Chicago.
I think it’s time for me to visit Little Dragon’s discography.

Kirby Kaiser – Kirby Kaiser EP
19-year old Chicago native Kirby Kaiser has just released her first official EP. The EP is incredibly soulful and full of heartbreak. This girl is full of talent and I expect her to be making some serious noize in the coming months. Shes’s also been named to Fake Shore Drive’s Freshmen List.
