Boldy James – Trappers Alley: Pro’s & Con’s (Mixtapes)

Boldy James – Trappers Alley: Pro’s & Con’s (Mixtapes)

Thanks to the good folks at illRoots, I’ve been bumping this mixtape all afternoon. Detroit’s own Boldy James ain’t messing around on his first online release, Trappers Alley: Pro’s. A very refreshing project but is a bit of a doosy at almost 30 tracks. Some stuff could have simply been left off.

Guests include Chuck Inglish, Sir Michael Rocks, Blended Babies, Exile and Tennille.

Full tracklist after the jump.

Scheme & DJ Scend – Two Turntables and a Mic : NO I.D. Series (Video)

This is dope! Shouts to the homie Scheme.

Scheme and DJ Scend follow up their “Two Turntables and a Mic” Series over NO I.D. production.

This is a straight to the point concept. Dope beats, a mic, and two turntables. Scheme and DJ Scend wanted to show respect to the great artists that have inspired them through out the years and wanted to bring to the forefront the DJ and the MC once again. They want to keep this series as raw and straight forward as possible. No gimmicks. Just rhymes and beats.

Chet Faker – No Diggity

Chet Faker – No Diggity

I was doing some internet crate digging and stumbled upon Australian musician Chet Faker. What struck me first was his incredible remake of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity.” I love when someone takes a cover and make’s it their own. Little is out there about Chet, other than than a Facebook page and official website. Although, his web presence has picked up a bit since his tracks have hit the blogosphere over the weekend.

I’ll be keeping an eye out for new material but in the meantime head over to Chet’s Soundcloud page.

Shouts to Pigeon & Planes.
