It’s amazing how hard Mike Posner has fallen off. Sure he has two singles high up on the charts (both from his mixtapes)…but damn did his last album suck. Can a single album be more influenced by uneducated “music executives?” The dude had shit on lock!
For this one remix Weezy hops on for maybe 4 or 5 lines and that’s it. Video on the way too.
I love the dudes mixtapes and I’m sure he will once again put out some dope music. But damn.
Some unidentified new Mike Posner. I believe this one is produced by Clinton Sparks.
I really wish this dude would retreat back to the content he put out in his mixtape days. Let’s be honest his album was a big pile of dog shit.

Well I’m sure the fellas had fun filming this one. Smooth stuff from Mike P.

Mikey P drops visuals for one of the few tolerable joints off his latest album 31 Minutes To Take Off. Hey Mike, smoke some more blunts and put out another mixtape already!
I’m literally posting this just to get peoples thoughts. Posner really doing something different on this new album…not sure I’m totally for it. Clearly this one is for the ladies…but give me some “Smoke N Drive.”
Produced by The Smeezingtons
The first single off Mike Posner’s debut album 31 Minutes To Take Off. You can pre-order the album on iTunes right now. The album is set to drop August 10th.
Crazy to see how far Posner has come since I posted up his first mixtape.
Mike P just dropped the album art for his debut album 31 Minutes To Takeoff. Look for the album to drop August 10th. Recall there are no guest features on this one.
Sidenote…I heard “Cooler Than Me” quite a few times on the radio in the Twin Cities this past weekend. I can only imagine it’s the same everywhere else. Not to mention “Cooler Than Me” has sat in the TOP 5 of iTunes the entire weekend.

This is the first we have heard from Mike Posner about his upcoming debut album titled 35 Minutes to Take Off. The 35-minute 11 song album contains no guest features and should be dropping by the end of the year.
No guest features? Alright, I understand what you are trying to do here….but guest features from Big Sean, Freddie Gibbs, Bun B, XV, Kid CuDi and Donnis in the past are what really brought some of his mixtapes together in my opinion. I sometimes find myself listening to Mike Posner for his production rather than some his lyrical content and vocal work. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t going to be one of the first people to buy his album when it drops. I can distinctly remember the exact moment I listened all the way through Mike’s first mixtape A Matter of Time over a year ago. I was instantly blown away at this kids potential. I just hope he doesn’t get too cocky and cutesy with this release.
By the way did you all see that Posner’s single “Cooler Than Me” is #5 on iTunes? Geez.
Spotted at Hold My Coat. What up Max?
Mike P drops some trippy ass visuals for his hit “Cooler Than Me.” This video turned out very nice. Some cool concepts.
Just as a note – the original version of this song featured Big Sean and sounded quite different. You can find it on Posner’s first mixtape A Matter of Time. A remixed version of the track appeared on Posner’s latest mixtape One Foot Out The Door. The cool part? Remixer Gigamesh is from Minneapolis! Congrats!
In the twelfth and final episode of Mike Posner’s web series “One Foot Out The Door” presented by Puma, Mike heads cross town for a sold out show with Big Sean, Chiddy Bang and 2AM Club at Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill where UNC shows him a ton of love. So much so that three girls fight for 30 min over Mike’s shirt he threw in the crowd.
Early the next morning, Mike heads to Boca Raton and then Miami for two shows. Mike rocks FAU but the cops raid the Miami show and shut it down. Mike heads back to Duke at 5AM for his final paper and turns it in just in time.
We haven’t heard from Mike P in a minute now. Hopefully some new material drops soon.

Hey yo Mike Posner fans. If you downloaded Mike’s mixtape One Foot Out The Door you maybe have heard the “Cooler Than Me (Gigamesh Remix)” and you probably have it on repeat like I do. Well the Minneapolis-remixer-producer has since released a new mastered version of the track which is equally fresh. Apparently Gigamesh sent the older unfinished-unmastered version of the joint to Mike Posner as a taste of his remixing talent.
Either way a dope Minneapolis producer is getting some serious shine and it’s well deserved at that. Both the unfinnished and finished version of this are a serious problem.
…and for all those in Chicago – Mike will be performing at Enclave nightclub in downtown Chicago on Jan. 29th. Some clown who is charge of his tour decided to book a fairly prominent college based artist at a 21+ night club. Some one needs to be checked…just saying. Posner will also be doing an in-store meet and greet at Leaders that same day from 3:30-4:00.
In-Store meet and greet flyer can be viewed here.

In the fifth episode of Mike Posner’s web series “One Foot Out The Door” brought to you by Puma, Mike returns home to Michigan for a 2 part episode, the first of which is a show at University of Michigan. An incredible mix from the very talented DJ Benzi. Can’t wait to just kick back and jam through this whole thing. Hosted by Mike Posner. What’s dope is you can also download the tracks seperatley or as one giant mix.
Side note: Benzi also dropped a list of his his Top 29 Jams of 2009. He included all the download links as well. This dude is a machine! Check it all out over at his website.
Steam it below. Good thing it’s Saturday night.
Huge post right here. First off we have the much anticipated official video for Mike Posner’s “Drug Dealer Girl” above. I like how the video turned out – starring model Rosa Acosta. This is the track that first got me hooked on Posner. I wonder what song will eventually launch him into the mainstream spot light. This underground college crowd cult following can’t stay last forever.
Below we have episode #4 from Mike Posner’s web series One Foot Out The Door which is dope because it is basically the making of the “Drug Dealer Girl” video.
In the fourth episode of Mike Posner’s web series “One Foot Out The Door”, Mike rallies the troops at Duke and shoots a viral video for “Drug Dealer Girl” starring Rosa Acosta all while going to class. Mike also introduces his DJ Khaled-inspired mantra “hits…straight hits.”

In celebration of my first CMJ showcase, presented with Puma and NUE Agency, I thought it’d be fitting to have my man DJ Benzi put together a mixtape featuring Elitaste artists (Wale, Mike Posner, Shawn Chrystopher, PRGz, Frontrunner) as well as everyone on the bill for CMJ. Featuring new, old and exclusive tracks from Mike Posner, Wale, Camp Lo, Theophilus London and more, this mixtape will not only get you hype for the showcase, but will carry you through a cold winter. Enjoy!
Well this has a lot of dope stuff on it. A lot of unreleased stuff as well as previously released stuff that is most definitely worth checking out….and most importantly Wale hops on Mike Posner’s “Drug Dealer Girl.” I could see Wale & Pharrell joint becoming a hit too.
In the second episode of Mike Posner’s web series “One Foot Out The Door”, Mike heads back to his second week at Duke University just in time to share the stage with Wale and his band after rocking a party at Emory the day before. Watch as Mike and Benny rock for hundreds of VTech students before the police shut the party down, and then make a speedy escape that includes an impromptu game of trashketball.
